Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about our Jewellery Making Workshops

Q: How do I book a workshop?
A: Go to our website, choose your workshop and number of participants, pick a date/time, then checkout. After payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all details.

Q: Is the workshop for one or more people?
A: A booking of 1 = one person making one piece. To book for more, simply select a higher quantity.

Q: Can a friend come just to watch without booking?
A: The studio space is limited, so only booked participants can join. Companions can wait at nearby cafés. Exceptions are made for underage participants needing supervision.

Q: Can I book a private workshop?
A: Yes. Private bookings require an €80 fee and can be held on weekday afternoons/evenings or Sunday afternoons. Email info@yizonjewellery.com with your workshop type, date, time, and number of people to arrange.

Q: Can I combine two different workshops?
A: Yes, but only as a private booking (see above).

Q: Do I need experience?
A: No. All skill levels are welcome.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dusty. Avoid white. Dressing up is fine – we even offer optional photoshoots.

Q: Is there parking near the studio?
A: Yes. Paid parking is widely available nearby, with some free options on weekends. Check the City of Amsterdam website for details here.

Q: What is the minimum age?
A: 12 years old.

Q: Can I cancel or reschedule?
A: Yes, up to 6 days before the workshop you can cancel or reschedule via the confirmation email. Within 6 days, changes aren’t allowed. However, you can give your seat to your friends and family. For the Grillz Making workshop, it is only possible to cancel or reschedule 14 days before the starting date. 

Q: What designs can I make in the workshops?
A:

Silver/Gold Workshop: Make a ring (3–5mm wide) or a pendant/earrings (max. 20x20mm). You can add textures, stamps, letters, numbers, or symbols.

Silver Clay Ring Workshop: Create a ring with 7g of silver clay, plus up to 8 cubic zirconia stones.

Wax Carving Workshop: Design any sculptural piece (ring, earrings, or pendant). Casting in silver is included up to €40; larger pieces may cost extra.
